Uniting the Neighborhood

Our group has grown to over 100 on WhatsApp alone with others who prefer not to be on social media. We initially galvanized so quickly to resolve the rat infestation resulting from years of negligence both inside buildings and on the street. Our direction has grown. We do stop to speak to one another, meet regularly, gotten input from city agencies and politicians. We are cleaning up the block, gardening around tree beds, hold social events, supporting neighbors as they address unresolved issues in their buildings and individual homes. We are growing and learning as we go along to make this block an uplifting place for people to come home.
